. . . and it would be an honor to represent Centennial Schools for the next four years.

I am excited to announce that I will run for re-election for the Centennial School Board this fall.  It will be a 4-year term, this time!!!

When I first thought about running for school board in early 2022, I had reservations about running not because I wasn’t interested in being a school board member and helping the children in our community.  It was because of toxic environments on many boards and the political animosity in running for school board throughout our great country.  Once I committed, I was all in.   I am so happy I did and now see a light at the end of the tunnel that I am hopeful we can reach, in the near future.

It is my belief that the ISD12 School Board over the past 2 years has been functional and focused mostly on the kids.  There will always be differences in opinions and some values but if we focus on the most important aspect of the board, our kids, we can succeed.  While our positions on the school board come with limitations and policies that we must encounter, we can help build a culture of learning and cooperation (togetherness) among our students, staff and parents.

If I am blessed to be re-elected to the Centennial School on November 5, 2024, I will continue what has occurred on this current board and work with our Superintendent Jeff Holmberg to work towards making Centennial one of the highest achieving and most respected school districts in the State of Minnesota.

I cannot do this alone.  I will need the support of you, members of our community, and volunteers, to reach out to all members of our Centennial School District Community.  Thank you for current and past support.
